Spanish Championships at Playa El Cabezo

This weekend there was a Spanish National wave event at Cabezo. 12 Cabezo locals took part. Graham Woods of OTC made 6th place. The single elimination was won by Marcos Perez and the double elimination was won by Dario Ojedia (full report is on BroadSeeker).

The lady in the bikini was a sculpture in a garden along the coast at Abades - If the wind doesn't start blowing again I will be a similar size to her soon ..!

Some photos I took on a very very windy day of Tris Best, owner of OTC. The wind was so strong I was almost blown of the Rock I was photographing from..!

Rainbow Over La Pelada

The whole island suffered a blackout on Thursday because of a flash of lighting which hit a power plant in stormy weather - In Santa Cruz (North of the Island) the traffic lights stopped working and also the trams. Fire engines where called to appartments and Hotels, as some people were trapped in lifts...!
