This is a blog about our Life on The Reef. Ten-er-Reef that is - a dusty volcanic island stuck out in the Atlantic ocean somewhere off the coast of Africa. Here you'll find the rambling scribblings of an ex pat windsurfing philosopher, his wife's photographs, and possibly some interventions from their small (but thinks he's much bigger) pooch, Basil. Don't expect too much from The Gnomes though - they tend to be the strong and silent type.

For 25 years I'd been a composer of music for TV, working at the BBC's Radiophonic Workshop and from my own studio near Brighton, UK. Then we decided to sell up & 'downshift' to a sunny, windy beach on The Reef (Tenerife). My wife, Nikki is a Digital artist/photographer/author and we're both obsessive windsurfers. Personality: over talkative, speedy ex hippy, laid back soul surfer - a mass of contradictions in fact :-)

Gizmo seems to be so talented at modelling. It's amazing how he is posing. So patiently...
This makes me sad that I can't have a dog any more. Just lost a Rottweiler in my family. who was epileptic.
I listened to your Audio interview why you are happy with Tenerife. I guess it was not so easy at the start. Any way great and by the looks of it so unbiased.
